Remember how we'd look at photos of our parents in their 1970s clothes and laugh about how ridiculous they look?
I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but at some point in the past 10 years or so, photos from my high school days started looking REALLY BAD to me.
Sort of like when we saw photos of our parents from the 1970s, but without the comedy factor.
In my memories, everyone looked normal. In the actual photos, everyone looks like mutant versions of what they are now.
I'm not even singling anyone out: it's ALL of us. REALLY BAD. RIDICULOUS. DIRTY. GRUNGY.
I didn't even realize that the early 90s had a look/style at the time, but these photos reek of some bizarre New Jack Swing, Hypercolor Evenflow Thoughts Arrive Like Butterflies culture suck/mindfuck.
I'm not even sure that made sense, and I don't care.
I look at high school photos, especially of myself, and I feel instantly unclean.
