Father of the Year Spotted in Crofton

I'm trying to remove misanthropic thoughts from my life, but the preponderance of morons, a$$holes, and even good people behaving poorly makes it VERY hard in this day and age.

I saw an overweight 20something angry dude repeatedly yell at his children about absolutely nothing at a restaurant recently.

He kept firmly stating these life lessons that were complete crap: "Shelly, what did I tell you? Never, never ask for something while you are sitting at a table with someone". "Junior, if there's an extra fork on the table, you never, ever do what you just did by not using it. NEVER".

I love that we are a free country and everyone has the freedom to marry and reproduce as they see fit, but the side effect of that is that some really bad people, who probably weren't bad but had crappy parents, are now passing on their crappy parenting skills to the next generation.

I think it is time that we/you/me/them/and they all start with some basic values: be the best people we can be, not only to our family and friends, but our fellow human being/animal/plant. That's not some hippie b.s., that's really easy, basic stuff. It'll make us all much happier.

"Ashley, you don't get up from the table to go to the bathroom until everyone has taken at least 3 bites of salad".
